My take has been that MJ passing away is tragic and certainly newsworthy. This memorial event though, is an event, and certainly not news. Sure its news to E! and VH-1, but certainly does not warrant 3 hours of post-event coverage in CNN's "The Situation Room" with Wolf Blitzer. I absolutely agree with you.
