The guy behind those fake DHARMA retro ads is Adam Campbell, who put together those mock vintage ads inspired by Lost.
So much detail has been put into these that you can actually see the other side of the page through the paper.

Without Under the Hood, the main Watchmen story is only a loose piece in a giant puzzle of intricate storytelling.
Eric Matthies, the man behind many DVD bonuses for massive productions such as 300 or The Matrix Trilogy, directed the direct-to-DVD Under the Hood, transforming the fake book into a fake TV program.
The film will be attached to the Tales of the Black Freighter DVD.
