Keeping the ball rolling

It seems that every time I take a temporary break from writing new posts for this site, the break ends up taking longer than planned.
Yes, it has been about two months since my last fresh post, but since we are already approaching A TV Calling’s sixth year anniversary, might as well come back now!

Speaking of 6-year birthdays, the LA TV Writers group (which I’m a moderator of) is also planning its 6-year mixer! We’re all getting old. I know it’s late notice, but if you’re in the Los Angeles area, you should definitely come.
It will be at the Cat N’ Fiddle (on Sunset), tonight (6-19) at 7PM.

And since we’re in World Cup fever mode (at least most of us), I am also pinning an older writing advice post about the World Cup that I wrote back in 2010.
That’s right. Writing and football.
Four years ago, I posted an awesome article about “what the World Cup can teach you about television writing”.
The advice is still relevant, even (especially?) after all these years.

Write on.

Catching up on lost time

Now that I’m back in the fold, I think it’s also time I tackle some long overdue posts (and series of posts).

One such example is the Scribosphere Carnival. I still have a few of those that I’ll be writing in the coming week(s). And by a few, I just mean the two that I missed. Maybe a relaunch will be on the table.

There’s also the (still unpublished) premiere post of “One and Gone”, which has been a long, long time coming. Like four months and counting.
Better late than never, right?

Finally, I’m catching up on some e-mails, so bear with me if I haven’t replied to yours yet.

Laters, taters.
