Warner Bros watches the Watchmen Opening

Looks like Warner Bros. or whomever didn’t like me showing the opening sequence from Watchmen and decided to delete my post without any prior warning whatsoever.

Here is the e-mail I just received from Blogger:

I’m not going to post the sequence again for the sake of it, but suffice to say that I’m quite disappointed by the behind-my-back actions taken.

I also find quite ridiculous that said actions were done in the name of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, let alone the crusade against people posting the opening Watchmen sequence.

Are they afraid people will find it is so awesome they decide not to go watch the rest of the movie?

Even yU+Co was forced to take it down, even though it’s their own company that made the titles.

Quite ridiculous indeed.

Epicness

Bad news in my life today but let’s not dwell on that an speak about the good news regarding the TV world.

First, Firefly‘s Morena Baccarin is going to play the leader of the Visitors in ABC’s re-imagining of V, and X-Men/Ugly Betty‘s Rebecca Romijn is going to lead the Witches of Eastwick.

Breaking Bad‘s season 2 premiere had an astounding 1.7 million peeps watching, that is a 42% augmentation from last year’s average ratings.
Continue to watch this great show people!

Speaking of epicness, DirectTV/NBC’s Friday Night Light might not be renewed for another season… But two seasons!
That’s what Ausiello is saying anyways.
We’ll have to Wait & See as usual to believe it, but ods are looking good for the awesome football show.

And since it’s supposed to be Watchmen week over here or whatever, here is an amusing link that ponders on the idea of “what if X had directed Watchmen?”

I also forgot to post that news about Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach in the movie) co-starring on FOX’s Human Target. Also starring in the DC Comics-based show is non other than Pushing Daisies‘ Chi McBride.

Count me in.
