Off to Cannes

Well, here it is, the day that I’m leaving for Cannes.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to leave yesterday and see the 3-D Up premiere.

Anyways, as usual, I am probably going to Twitter the stuff that will go down, although hopefully I’ll be able to post right here every day as usual (if only for a few words).

Before I leave though, a couple of TV news as usual.

For starters, the first “real” Flash Forward promo premiered last night during the Lost finale.

Also, Party Down has been renewed, sans Jane Lynch who’s gone to Glee.

Off to Cannes now…

To the point

Time is running short for me to prepare for Cannes (haven’t even packed my suitcase up yet).

As for the TV world, FOX has picked up (no surprise there again) Lie to Me for a second season.
One major change though next season: The Shield/The Unit‘s Shawn Ryan is going to showrun the series’ second season.
Also, the network has picked up both Human Target and Sons of Tucson to series.

Nikki Finke meanwhile posted something that could potentially be one of NBC’s fall schedule.

MONDAY — TRAUMA, Heroes, Leno
TUESDAY — Biggest Loser, Law & Order: SVU, Leno
WEDNESDAY — Biggest Loser, PARENTHOOD, Leno
THURSDAY — 30 Rock, P&R, Office, COMMUNITY, Leno
FRIDAY — Chuck, Southland, Leno
SATURDAY — Re-runs
SUNDAY — Football
SUNDAY (January) — Dateline, Apprentice, MERCY

As usual, grain of salt.

Lent

Just as I’m finishing up installing again Windows 7, it’s already the end of the day, so time for me to post.

The details for Dollhouse‘s DVD have been released.
The DVD set will have the un-aired pilot as well as the un-aired finale.
I found that last Friday’s episode was good enough to serve as both a season and series finale in my mind, so I was happy to learn that this un-aired finale is more a “what if” than anything else.

In pilot news, Legally Mad is more than dead in the water, it’s just dead.
NBC passed on David E. Kelley’s show while getting out its checkbook to sign a seven-figure penalty to WB.

And since I have nothing more interesting to add today, I’ll just conclude with this Cyanide and Happiness comic strip:
