ARGhhhhh!

It’s ARG day!

Let’s start with this:

Isn’t that the weirdest book ad you’ve ever seen?
Especially when there’s in it Joss Whedon, Damon Lindelof and Brian K. Vaughn!
I bet you want to know more.
Let’s hope it’s not another “Da Vinci Code” wannabe.

Speaking of ARG, the third Lost ARG, AKA “The Project”, began a day or two ago: it is total failure.
Everyone has been waiting for this one, especially after that video at Comic-Con.

It finally starts and what do we get for our wait? Lousy tests.
Damn you DHARMA!

In non-ARG news, there’s this promotional site that CBS and Sho oppened to promote Dexter and where you can find out if you too have a killer instinct…or not.
But don’t forget, as the website states on the bottom:
This website is for entertainment purposes only. It is not a scientific, diagnostic or therapeutic tool.
Who would have known?

Is the future…

… of animation here?
Possibly.

But in other “future of entertainment” news, there’s a new kid on the block.
After Hulu, meet TheWB.com.

What’s that?
Oh no, the network is indeed six feet under (for 2 years now), but the brand is coming back…on the web.
On August 27, the site will launch (unfortunately only for US-based peeps, thank you geo-blocking). It is currently in Beta (as you can see by the flash vid above).

What is interesting to note is that, other than showing “known shows” like Buffy, Angel, Friends, The O.C., Smallville, Gilmore Girls, and Roswell, there will be a whole lot of original content. That’s right, shows specially developed for the web, and for the website, also aimed at the “youth demographic”. And we’re not talking about products made by nobodies, unless Josh Schwartz (among others) is unknown to you. But if that’s the case, what are you doing here reading about “youth demographic”.
It probably won’t be as good as The Doc, but it clearly shows that the future of TV is, at the very least, strongly linked to the Internet.

Welcome to the world of tomorrow.

Dr. Horrible's (awesome) Sing-Apost

Come on, admit it, you’re as anxious as I am to see Dr. Horrible in action!

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along is Joss Whedon’s next project (besides Dollhouse).

Unfortunately I won’t be here to see it “live”.

Indeed, for a one-time only the three acts will be put online (for free) over here at the following dates:

Act One (Wheee!) : Tuesday July 15th
Act Two (OMG!) : Thursday July 17th
Act Three (Denouement!) : Saturday July 19th

The 3 acts will be available until July 20th.

Here is the teaser for this great project, because a picture is worth a thousand words…so what about a teaser comprised of thousands of images?

I believe I saw David Fury and Marti Noxon in that teaser…

Yep that’s what I thought.
